Darkbreeze This probably would have worked better if they had used a chemical stripper to remove the powder coating, as paint, even ceramic paints, tend to act like an insulator more than a conductor. Added to which, I assume they were not able to remove the majority of the powder coating, which likely made it that much worse. Chemically stripping (Or even abrasive blasting using very fine media so as to minimize any pitting) the heatsink would have been a much better option and probably would have resulted in getting at least another 5-10 degree drop out of the heatsink. But, it's a very ingenious idea and looks terrific. Reply
