xaijin 4GB RAM is a let down. You can get a n150 with 12-16GB for significantly less. Reply

Considering for much less you could buy a much better solution from Ubiquiti, Grandstream, etc, or even cheaper with a DIY Opnsense, etc build. Reply
Alvar "Miles" Udell But does it REALLY provide better performance than a $250 Wi-Fi 7 router? Reply

Because if it had such good specs, it would be able to properly read the press release and the product webpage to get proper details on it before presenting it to Tom's staff. Because the product webpage does clearly state that it (supposedly) has 2 separate systems in one. Theres a dedicated quad core CPU+NPU+4GB RAM+32GB flash storage for the AI stuff, and another dedicated quad core CPU+4GB RAM+32GB flash storage for the networking. I say supposedly because while it lists both CPUs as having different clock speeds, and it describes each of them as separate cores, the tech specs page only seems to list one quad core CPU, although it does list 4+4GB ram and 32+32GB flash storage. So while yes its still way overpriced….and no one in their right mind should ever get this router, your n150 mini pc is not significantly less expensive… sure 8gb ram is not 12 or 16gb ram, and 64gb of flash is no 512 or 1tb ssd, but your n150 doesn't have 8 cores and an npu does it? guraldunix I could buy a low grade enterprise firewall for a small business for around this price. I don't think this price really makes sense for what you're getting. Reply

Krieger-San I wonder how long until the AI features go belly up because the cloud support behind it gets canned. Reply
