You probably don't think of an "open-back headset" when you think of a gaming headset, but if you don't need noise isolation, you might want to think again. Turtle Beach's impressively lightweight Atlas Air is the "world's first wireless open-back gaming headset," and it's not only super comfortable — it also sounds pretty good. It's currently on sale for $129.99 at Amazon (down from its original MSRP of $179.99).
The only wireless open-back gaming headset on the market is incredibly light and comfortable and sounds great. It has a detachable, flip-to-mute boom mic, dual-mode wireless connectivity, and gets about 50 hours of battery life.
The Atlas Air features 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity (as well as wired connectivity), 40mm dynamic drivers, and support for 24-bit audio. It also has a detachable flip-to-mute boom mic — while we liked that it was detachable and the flip-to-mute feature, it didn't work quite as nicely as anticipated.
But even without the mic, this headset sounds great for both music and gaming, with a nicely balanced sound profile that leans a little toward the low end and a wide, detailed soundstage for all those multi-layered audio environments in games. The epic 24TB BarraCuda deal we've been recommending has sold out, but that doesn't mean you can't still land a shedload of storage on Black Friday weekend! Newegg is now flogging this 26TB expansion drive for just $249 , which is actually a better value than the 24TB for $239.
If you just want raw storage at the best value possible, this new deal is actually better than the sold-out 24TB BarraCuda we recommended previously. Of course, this is an external rather than an internal drive, but it is an excellent value and, in the right hands, could be an internal solution, too, if you're willing to void the warranty.
Naturally, this is an external drive, but if you're willing to void your warranty and gamble on the shucking lottery, you could get a nifty internal drive. If external works for you, this is frankly a silly value for money. This drive also comes with a USB 3.0 (Type-A) cable and an 18W external power adapter. — Stephen Warwick
A Cyber Monday deal on this LG monitor brings the price down below $400, scoring you a 4K 27-inch LG Ultragear with a 180Hz refresh rate for just $395 . Crucially, this is a dual-mode monitor, meaning that when you switch to 1080p, you'll get a blazing 360Hz refresh rate for hyper-smooth gaming.
Get a 4K gaming monitor with up to 360Hz refresh rate at FHD for less than $400.
This comes with AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync, as well as DisplayHDR 400, HDMI 2.1, and 1ms response time. — Sayem Ahmed
If you're the proud owner of a Steam Deck, this JSAUX upgraded docking system is great for housing your Steam Deck (or any other handheld, for that matter), and it's now only $18.99 .
Grab a Steam Deck dock with all the bells and whistles, perfect for gaming on a semi-permanent setup when you're not out and about.
It comes with 100Mbps Ethernet, USB 2.0, 100W charging, and support for 4K at 120Hz over HDMI 2.1. – Stephen Warwick
If you're looking for a cost-effective upgrade route for a gaming monitor, MSI's MAG 275UPD should definitely be in the running for a spot on your desk (or mounted on your wall). The 4K monitor regularly sells for $309.99, but is currently on sale for $229.99 . However, a $30-off coupon ( BFEFE82 ) brings the price down to just $199.
The MSI MAG 275UPD is a 27-inch gaming monitor with a 4K IPS panel. It supports Adaptive-Sync and includes HDMI 2.1 along with DisplayPort 1.4a connectivity.
Although we often see QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution in a 27-inch monitor, the MAG 275UPD ups the ante with a 4K (3840 x 2160) IPS panel with a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz. Although we haven't yet tested the MAG 275UPD, MSI claims that it covers 130% of sRGB and 90% of DCI-P3. In addition, you'll find two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4a port. If that wasn't enough, there are also two built-in 2-watt speakers.
One other item of note is that the MAG 275UPD supports a dual-mode refresh rate. While the monitor supports up to 144 Hz at 4K resolution, it can reach 288 Hz at Full HD (1920 x 1080). — Brandon Hill
If you want an OLED monitor that won't break the bank, this Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 boasts an impressive spec sheet for under $500 , an impressive $300 off. You get a 240Hz refresh rate, QHD resolution, matte finish, and more.
This is the lowest-ever price we've seen on this monitor, with a massive 38% discount, savings totalling $300.
With OLED tech, you get rapid GtG response times of just 0.03 ms and very smooth gameplay. The 240Hz will light up any title, but you can go even more hardcore with the 360Hz refresh option if you prefer. That model has been sub-$600 before, making the 240Hz the value play here. — Stephen Warwick
I picked up a version of this SNES-inspired wireless gaming controller a few years ago, and it's become my go-to controller for Switch and PC gaming (when I'm not using my preferred keyboard and mouse). It's compatible with Windows, Mac, Android, and Nintendo Switch consoles. It may be peak early 1990s nostalgia, but my fingers and my muscle memory love this form factor. As you might expect, given this controller's small size, its Rumble motors aren't the strongest, and the layout can feel kind of cramped for some modern games. But for any kind of retro game, especially platformers, this is my favorite controller.
With its SNES-inspired design and white shell, this controller will appeal to gamers of a certain age. But its appeal goes beyond its looks., with anti-drift Hall Effect joysticks, and support for the Switch, PC, macOS, and basically any OS that supports games and Bluetooth.
As you might expect, given this controller's small size, its Rumble motors aren't the strongest, and the layout can feel kind of cramped for some modern games. But for any kind of retro game, especially platformers, this is my favorite controller. I recently used it to play through (or nearly through) The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom , and loved every minute.
Meta has been on a mission to put mixed reality headsets into the hands (or rather on the heads) of as many people as possible. While the company's Quest 3 is a fantastic mixed-reality headset, its $499 MSRP wasn't ideal for the mainstream market. The Quest 3S made some noticeable hardware compromises but entered the market with a $299 MSRP. Now, Amazon and Target are offering the 128GB version of the mixed reality headset for $249.99, the latter and throwing in a $50 store gift card to sweeten the deal.
The Meta Quest 3S is a value-laden mixed-reality headset with one 1832×1920 LCD per eye. It offers Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, comes with motion controllers, and includes a free copy of Gorilla Tag.
The Quest 3S uses Fresnel lenses with three fixed adjustment settings along with two LCDs — one for each eye — with a resolution of 1832 x 1920 and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. That works out to 773 pixels per inch (ppi), versus 1,218 ppi for the pricier Quest 3. Powering the headset is a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 SoC paired with 8GB and your choice of either 128GB or 512GB of storage. You'll also find a 4,324 mAh battery onboard that can provide up to 2.5 hours of runtime.
If you're into VR gaming, the Quest 3S comes with a free copy of Gorilla Tag , which is an excellent showcase for the headset and its motion controllers. You can also use the headset to watch movies on Netflix, if that's your thing.
With that said, with an effective price of around $200 when you take into account the gift card, the Meta Quest 3S could make a great gift idea for the tech nerd in your family, or even a quick grab to add to your own gadget stash. — Brandon Hill
Looking to beef up your storage? It might be a wise idea, considering that NAND and DRAM prices are set to spike, with DRAM feeling the pain at the moment, with costs being passed directly to customers. However, you can still get ahead of the curve on NAND pricing, and this deal is too good to pass up. So, now is the time to strike if you're looking to amp up your SSD storage.
Now discounted to its lowest ever price, the 4TB Crucial T710 PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD is just $379.99 at Amazon . That equates to a price-per-gigabyte of just nine cents, which is a steal for an NVMe drive of this caliber.
The 4TB Crucial T710 PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD sports up to 14,900/13,800 MB/s for sequential reads and writes, and up to 2,200K/2,300 K IOPS for random reads and writes. Crucial backs the T710 with a standard five-year, 600TB of writes per TB capacity warranty. The drive supports encryption under the TCG Opal 2.01 specification.
We tested the 2TB variant of this SSD in our four-star review , stating that the drive offers solid performance across our performance tests, with good power efficiency, cache layout and good TLC write speeds. Though it might not be the best drive out there as a whole, it’s still good enough in the right ways to suit most setups. We’ve dropped some performance tests of the 2TB model below.
(Image credit: Tom's Hardware) (Image credit: Tom's Hardware) (Image credit: Tom's Hardware) From the tests above, you can find that the 2TB T710 pushes the speeds of predecessor, the T705. While it can't keep up with the speeds of the latest and greatest, its scores make it a very viable SSD to put into just about any system.
At just $379.99 at Amazon , many of our criticisms are trumped in favor of pure value. Having such a speedy 4TB drive in a system cannot be overstated, and you can manage installations of large games or ballooning projects with ease, without having to reach for a slower HDD. Don’t miss this one, it’s one of the best SSD deals you can still grab this shopping season. — Sayem Ahmed
