hotaru251 the 1 way you make ppl stop using your content is forcing ads into the product… Reply

SomeoneElse23 I'm continually disappointed in ChatGPT. It's wrong more than it's right. Ads seem like a last ditch effort to save it, to which people will rightfully rebel. If we wanted ads we'd use google! Reply
ejolson The way I see it, the first chatbot to add advertising looses. This is what happened with search engines. AltaVista added advertising and everyone switched to Google. Only after the competition sinks can the last chatbot corrupt the results with advertising. Although Google has deeper pockets than OpenAI, it's possible Christensen's cycle of disruptive innovation led by executives, activist investors and the profitability of the existing advertising business will result in a return to the core business for Google and the failure of Gemini. Weirdly, I expect Grok to outlive both Gemini and ChatGPT as a general purpose chatbot. Then there is Claude. Reply

Like product placement in movies, or omitting the competition in an answer like Google. What I want to know is if there is any way to block the advertising in this. Edit: They could sell placement in AI answers as Advertising Intelligence. Reply
