If you're looking for a solid gaming keyboard that can give you a genuine leg-up across the board, look no further than the V3 Huntsman Pro. It's built like a tank, looks clean, and performs like a true flagship product in every way. Now, it can be yours for even less, making this a no-brainer upgrade.
As the same suggests, this is the TKL version of the Huntsman V3 Pro, featuring a tenkeyless layout perfect for gaming setups where mouse space is crucial. The board has a mixed aluminium and plastic construction that feels solid, along with an understated design that can scream with per-key RGB only if you want it to. It comes with a wrist rest as well. You get an indicator LED cluster as well, along with premium double-shot PBT keycaps.
The real magic happens on the inside with Razer's Gen 2 Optical Analog Switches, which use light sensing to detect input signals, enabling ultra-fast actuation. You can also set your own custom actuation point such that the key only registers if it's pressed past a certain point. This tech also enables Razer's Rapid Trigger feature, which allows the key to reset right as it starts to travel back instead of relying on a fixed reset point. This allows for perfect spamming in intense situations.
The Huntsman V3 Pro also supports Snap Tap, also known as Snappy Rappy in Wooting keyboards. Snap Tap implements an automatic Simultaneous Opposing Cardinal Directions input method, letting you rapidly and effortlessly alternate between two inputs depending on which one was pressed last. Imagine you have your fingers on the A and D key and you're trying to move left and right quickly to avoid being hit. Snap Tap will let you perfectly strafe (or counter-strafe).
All of these features and many more are configurable through Razer's Synapse software. In our original review , we gave the Huntsman V3 Pro 4.5 stars, making it one of the best gaming keyboards in the market. It has since been succeeded by Razer's own Huntsman V4, but for the $147.99 discounted price , the Huntsman V3 Pro is a solid alternative to Wooting and still remains a great peripheral nonetheless.
