pug_s This is no deal. About 3.5 years ago, Bestbuy had the deal with the same drive for $200 and you can get 15% off if you give an old drive to recycle. I have plenty of dead drives from my company and got 4 drives and I am currently using them in my Synology NAS. Reply

Misgar Grab 14TB of shuckable storage for $169 I've just checked my local Amazon web site and the WD Elements 14TB is the equivalent of US $344.54, including 20% local tax. That's double the price in the US. Somebody, somewhere is making a decent profit. Economies of scale or price gouging? Amdlova said: if you are lucky will have an red drive on it. The trouble with buying USB drives is you've no idea what's inside, until you get your hands on it. I shucked an old 8TB WD Elements recently after making sure it was CMR, not SMR. The drive was white label not red, but I'm still very pleased it's not SMR, which I avoid whenever possible. Reply
