With a list price of around $279.99–$309.99, the monitor is currently selling at a $40 discount on Newegg, bringing it down to $239.99. Using the promo code SABYF2434 (which is added automatically during checkout) customers can get an additional discount of $40, essentially bringing the price of the monitor down to just $199.
Newegg is also offering combo deals on the MSI MAG 275UPD E14, where you get additional benefits of up to $65 when bundling the monitor with either a prebuilt PC, keyboard, mouse, headset, external SSD, or speakers.
MSI’s MAG 275UPD E14 delivers a 27-inch 4K IPS panel with dual-mode refresh rates, HDMI 2.1 console support, and enough performance to satisfy both casual and competitive gamers.
The MSI MAG 275UPD E14 is a 27-inch 4K gaming monitor that features an IPS LCD panel and dual-mode capability to switch between 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution at 144 Hz refresh rate or 1080p at 288 Hz. This makes it suitable for gamers who care about high-resolution visuals for immersive gameplay and, at the same time, want higher refresh rates for competitive FPS gaming.
The panel on the MSI MAG 275UPD E14 offers up to 1ms response time and supports 90% of the DCI-P3, 84% Adobe RGB, and 130% of sRGB color gamuts. It isn’t the brightest panel out there with a rating of 250 nits, but it should be good enough for most indoor situations. In terms of I/O, there’s a DisplayPort 1.4a, two HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm headphone audio jack.
The monitor is also suitable for console gaming as it comes with a special mode designed specifically for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, to offer the full 48 Gbps bandwidth on the HDMI 2.1 ports. This allows full support for VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) and ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) for smoother and more responsive gameplay at up to 120 Hz. The monitor also includes HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Control), allowing it to communicate with compatible console controllers to wake the display.
It may not be the best 4K gaming monitor on the market, but at $199, the MSI MAG 275UPD E14 is a strong entry-level option for anyone looking to step up to 4K without spending a fortune.
