bill001g They will never fix the most annoying flaw which is it is a platform used to try to sell content. Why do I have to constantly uninstall and worse hide and disable things I can't uninstall. All this extra stuff and now their massive push to force AI is making the bloat bigger and bigger. They need to release a windows 11 basic. I would take it without even a browser. Maybe preinstall microsoft store only so people who want say notepad or the other basic apps could install that. All I really need is a operating system to handle thing like memory management and allocation of cpu to processes. If linux had better support from game companies I would completely switch to that. endocine fix the taskbar, take out the bloat, eliminate the spying and telemetry. Those are what needs to be fixed, but its unlikely microsoft is focusing on those things, a stable os is welcome, but if its still awkward to use and has garbage in it you cant control then, no. Reply
Famj__Liberfree The writing is on the wall and MS has reached desperation. People see that there are alternatives and using them. The cloud helped in this regard tremendously. Microsoft thought cloud locking would secure their future when all it did was let people know they don't need Windows anymore. Any client can get to the cloud, even Linux, Apple, Android etc. Reply
Jabberwocky79 I could list my gripes about Windows 11 here, but why bother? There's some good, there's some bad, there are some mildly infuriating things… pretty much describes every piece of software from every company ever made. Hope they make it better, but not holding my breath. Reply

The crappy thing is that that version exists for enterprise users. It’s actually quite nice to use on my work laptop. Reply

Microsoft is reportedly using all of 2026 to fix Windows 11's core issues.
