(Image credit: Future / MSI) It’s not Black Friday just yet, but Amazon is already slashing prices on a full range of electronics, including MSI gaming monitors. Right now, you can pick up this 27-inch MSI QD-OLED monitor for just £399 , netting you a top display with a great set of specs while saving you a whopping £200 in the process.
A pound under £400 is an incredible price for any OLED display at this size, but it’s also a record low for this particular display. That’s according to the data at Camelcamelcamel, which confirms that the MSI MAG 273QP X24 hasn’t seen a price drop before – until now, that is.
Specs-wise, this MSI gaming monitor supports a top resolution of 2,560 x 1,440, a noticeable upgrade in visual fidelity if you’ve been stuck at 1080p. If you’ve got a decent mid-tier gaming GPU and you’re ready to hit those high frame rates at 1440p, you’ll be pleased with the MSI MAG 273QP X24’s 240Hz refresh rate, which leaves plenty of room to keep up with your GPU’s output in any fast-paced games you play.
This MSI MAG 273QP X24 gaming monitor is a serious upgrade, able to support 1440p gaming on a QD-OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate. It comes with DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 certification, delivering ultra-vibrant colours and true blacks. It also comes with a three-year warranty with burn-in protection included.
That said, the biggest win you’re getting with the MSI MAG 273QP X24 is its QD-OLED panel. Our own testing has shown that QD-OLED monitors offer better colour volume over WOLED, the other big OLED panel tech out there right now. Upgrading from an older LCD display means that you’ll see a dramatic improvement in image quality, with much more vibrant colours and true blacks. You’re also getting much lower response times, with this panel claiming to hit as low as 0.03ms.
The MSI MAG 273QP includes full HDR support with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, meaning it should hit a minimum peak brightness of 400 nits, while also delivering much truer black levels. The panel also supports up to 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space, making it a good option for creatives out there who need the truest colours on screen.
In terms of connectivity, you’re set up with two HDMI 2.1 and one DisplayPort 1.4a connections, so you’re free to hook this up to your PC, laptop, and any consoles or handhelds you have. MSI also offers a three-year burn-in warranty to give you peace of mind to handle any unwanted panel blemishes that pop up with long-term use.
This £399 sale price is an absolute steal for an OLED gaming monitor from a recognisable brand like MSI. This is a limited-time deal, though, with a sudden price rise or stock shortages ready to pounce at any time, so don’t wait around if you’re thinking about upgrading.
