A few minutes later, the order was processed, and then a couple of days later, the customer even got a tracking number. They were still in disbelief and expecting a cancellation any minute now, but eventually the order actually arrived.
This was a rare instance where the multi-million-dollar megacorp didn't just sidestep the blame and actually owned up to its mistake. OP notes in their caption that the combo pricing error was fixed just 10 minutes after their order was placed, reducing the savings to only $100. Newegg could've brought up its terms of service and pulled out like most vendors, but the retailer honored the sale.
