Dr3ams I've been using Windows 11 for a while now. All of my hardware installs were seemless. All my open source apps and proprietary games work without errors. I have also been using Norton security software on Windows for around 15 years and have never gotten a virus or malware. What am I doing wrong? Reply
Shiznizzle I do not understand why people do not just initially accept the MS account for install purposed only and then delete the account. Knowing MS, i am inclined to think that they will continue to use the enabled "features" of an attached MS account even though you are now on a local account.After all you agreed to the terms when you installed it. Just because you delete the user account does not mean that all of a sudden the terms you agreed to are null and void. I could see them doing this behind your backs. I say your backs. I am on linux now. I started this journey a year ago. Bought hardware and prepared myself for 10's demise. That day came and i was ok with leaving MS behind, so i did. Nobara is what i use. I can game on it. I dont need M$ for that. For 40 years i used Microsoft and for the majority of that time i was ok with them. This was the case until 10. That is when they ramped up the spying under the guise of telemetry. Reply

Is the computer going to explode because you used a local account? No. Is some Microsoft employee going to commit self-harm because you used a local account? If the answer to this second question is a yes, then we need to have a much larger conversation about reigning in corporations! I assume the real justification Microsoft and Google would use to explain these takedowns relates to the DMCA and potentially the digital lock circumvention part of the DMCA. The DMCA was written at a time where the idea of companies taking away functionality in digital products wasn't a concept anyone was familiar with. It's time to update the DMCA or replace it with something that's aware of the trend of enshitification spreading throughout tech. Reply
Alvar "Miles" Udell You shouldn't need to watch a video on what could be said as "Use Rufus", since it's very straightforward as it downloads the latest ISO from Microsoft servers and then prompts you if you want to bypass TPM and several other options., especially with the plethora of articles out there about it. I doubt Microsoft is behind it since a quick search of "How to install Windows 11 on an unsupported PC" brings up a plethora of videos, many a year old or more, so I suspect something this person said or did in his video was enough to flag their screener AI, either that or he's lying for publicity, not sure who this person is.
