usertests The prebuilt gaming PC featuring the CPU is currently listed by Chinese system integrator Qehi on Amazon with a price tag of $799.99. No reason to be upset by an obscure part, possibly China exclusive, making it onto Amazon somehow. What is a "good" or "fair" price for these specs? $500-600? I see RTX 3050 8GB new for $240 on Newegg. Reply

I see RTX 3050 8GB new for $240 on Newegg. Not upset, just calling out terrible pricing. I can go to Microcenter and get a Power Spec, R5 5500 rig with an RX 7600, and 1tb ssd, for the same price. Newegg has a similarly specced system to the one in the article, but with a 5500 for the cpu, for about $30 less. Reply
King_V It would be interesting to see what this CPU sells for, if it gets marketed outside of the OEM-only niche. May have more cores/threads, but, according to the CPU hierarchy, and using the 4750G and 5600G as stand-ins for the 4700 and 5500, the 4700 may barely edge out the 5500 in multithreaded work, but loses in single threaded, as well as gaming. I imagine the 4700 would have to undercut the 5500 in price to be viable. If they ever go the route of selling to the public. Reply
micheal_15 This "chinese remake" is PACKED with malware. Basically you boot up, the CPU will force further nasty downloads on both Windows and Linux. And because its hard-coded into firmware, there's no way to remove or prevent its actions. Reply
