If China can't figure out how to get past this kind of authoritarian nonsense, they're ultimately going to sabotage all the economic progress they've been making. You can't treat highly trained experts like a caged animal, even if that cage comes with plenty of fun toys, and expect them to stick around or remain particularly friendly to your party's agenda. bigdragon I find it disgusting the whole world has let tech leaders persuade them into thinking of AI as the next space race or Manhattan Project. Humanity has put too much value behind algorithms and models that have error rates unacceptable in any other field save for meteorology. Reply
