hotaru251 Denuvo unable to stop crackers which is going to be a big issue if they can't long term as that is their entire business model and its been bypassed for a long time now. Basically being paid to make buying customers get treated worse. Reply

Basically being paid to make buying customers get treated worse. meh, they'll survive if not even thrive. Companies will continue to pay them millions, and their DRM still deters enough people from pirating to not be too concerned about leaks or whatever else. Reply

Pirates don't even need to wait until release to play, if they had to wait a month or two after release it would make many of them buy the game. Reply

Nevertheless, Denuvo and other DRMs seem to be mostly there just so by the time the game launches, people will have to buy the game to play instead of going to piracy (most of the time), tbh. Reply
das_stig Games studios still don't get it after decades of fighting pirates, we acknowledge they need to make money for future development etc but when the games, are overpriced poorly written buggy ports, with sub par gaming experience, there no incentive to buy the original. Back in the day prices far more reasonable and people wanted the CD boxes etc, even pay extra for fancy boxsets, expansions. Now it's just pure greed ! Reply

Game studios watch console game sales though….they know that their games do in fact sell well as long as people can't just pirate them immediately. That's why big games come out on PC half a year, if not more, later. Reply
