gggplaya The lower wattage will make POE easier, hopefully they are using IEEE 802.3bt. We'll find out once people start getting them. But it does look like the POE brick is now separate, which makes replacing the cheap router easier. Reply

hwertz Given 'up to xxx+ ' is kind of a nonsense term (the + suggests it's not really the top speed), I wonder if the v5 is actually any slower or if they just have somewhat higher load on the sats and dropped the speed 25mbps to reflect that. I mean my guess is smaller and lower power consumption, it probably is a hair slower but…? Reply

They are attempting to launch real V3 test sats tomorrow, that will connect to the network before being deorbited. If they can get V3 sats launching regularly within the next few months, the network capacity could expand rapidly. For me, the standout spec in the table is the rated wind speed, which is up 2.75x… to Category 5 hurricane force winds. Reply
