Elegoo has slashed the cost of one of its top 3D printers in an epic deal for both enthusiasts and beginners. This Elegoo Centauri Carbon 3D printer is on sale for just $285 for a limited time only, ready for delivery within days, and down to a price that saves you $128 on its current list price.
The Centauri Carbon has yo-yo'd in price over recent months, and we have seen it reach this low pricing a few times since Black Friday last year. That doesn't take away what a great printer this is. It may have been superseded by the new Centauri Carbon 2 , which launched in February, but the OG model still has plenty to offer as one of the fastest budget 3D printers on sale right now.
This is a printer that offers everything a beginner would want: it's fast, it's cheap, and it's easy to set up. This fully enclosed Core XY printer is the same size as the popular Bambu Labs P1S, with the spool holder located accessibly on the side. Our Elegoo Centauri Carbon review will show you the value for money you're getting here, gaining a four-star score for its troubles.
This is a very affordable, fully enclosed Core XY 3D printer with a fully enclosed chamber, and one that offers the best out-of-the-box experience of any Elegoo FDM printer to date. It offers speed and precision that's hard to beat.
The Centauri Carbon uses a fully enclosed environment for printing, so it's a good option if you're thinking about advanced, high-temperature prints where humidity is a concern. It has a max build volume of 256 x 256 x 256 mm, which is a pretty large bed size on a budget-focused printer, although larger print areas can be found elsewhere. It uses a double-sided heated flex plate, which doesn’t need glue for ordinary spool materials like PLA, along with a 0.4mm nozzle for this printer, attached to a direct drive extruder. Extruders like this are great for pressure control while you print, which should help improve the accuracy of your prints and avoid wasting any filament.
There are plenty of connectivity options to choose from here, too, so you don't need to stick to printing from your desk, with LAN, Wi-Fi, and USB print options available. Everything can be controlled from the Centauri Carbon's 4.3-inch touchscreen, which will allow you to choose your desired print options and settings, using a special Elegoo fork of the open-source Klipper firmware. It also has a time-lapse camera built in so you can watch (and rewatch) the print process later.
This brilliant, beginner-friendly Elegoo 3D printer sits high on our best 3D printer guide for a reason, and this is a deal you won't want to miss. The $285 sale price for this Elegoo Centauri Carbon printer is only available for a few more days, however. If you're considering a 3D printer on a budget, you'll want to grab this deal quickly.
