usertests It's difficult to imagine a reason for being a convict that would garner more sympathy than that. He'll be lauded as a hero (mostly by other men) inside and outside of prison, should be able to get a new job easily, and might come out ahead financially even with the fine and 5 months of lost income compared to an alternate scenario where the divorce went through but he had to pay her e.g. $50-100k in assets. Half of what's left over, doesn't matter how much she wittled away, or if her only contribution was consumption. Cheating, any kind, gross misconduct etc. won't change that, even if it means the kids fall off a cliff at 18. The fact that Taiwan still recognizes marriage as a bilateral contract is refreshing: any society that fails to uphold at least financial fielty towards family members, is doomed. Reply
