If you will take the water, then throw it away, and you are big enough to have multiple eyes over you, trust no one, not just the government. Run compliance on anything that enters your facilites, log everything, watch over everyone. None of this should be a surprise, so the fact that they didn't test intake water is on them, not on the public services. Reply

As in, their function was compromised. As in, they noticed the bacterium because of the damage to their systems. Which means if it had been present earlier, this would have happened earlier. Reply
CelicaGT If these idiots actually looked into heat reclaimation systems some of this might actually make sense. Instead they're going the cheapest way possible at the detriment of the general population. These systems cost more to install but cost less in the long run. Heck, they could eve use lithium bromide chiller to cool the office space and save electricity but oh no, gotta hit that quarterly earning.. Morons. Reply

So the government was testing and you're making the assumption that Meta was not. It could well be that Meta was testing incoming water, but wasn't testing after that point and an issue developed without them realizing. I know its easy to be cynical about the government, but in most cases municipal water supplies are constantly tested. Reply
