thesyndrome £519 for an Xbox series S 1TB Do Microsoft REALLY think people are going to pay £100 more than the PS5 launch prices for a device that was already considered weak WHEN IT FIRST RELEASED SIX YEARS AGO?! Gaming was already heading for a crash for a long time due to a number of factors, but they've been holding it off (usually with mass-firings so the companies don't implode), but the computing hardware market and inflation exploding has caused it to accelerate beyond control. I honestly think we are watching the hobby die in slow motion, I think the only "gaming market" that will continue on with little change is the mobile gaming market because a smartphone of some variety is nearly a requirement these days and people have proven they are willing to accept worse graphics and simpler gameplay in that segment, but I think console and PC gaming is going to go back to a niche hobby populated by enthusiasts only. The top and high end never stopped being a niche… If people are ok with worse graphics they will just stay with the older consoles or more mid/low end PC parts. You don't need to play games at ultra 4k to enjoy them or to be counted as PC gaming. Mobile is a second device and will always be one for all but a very small number of people. Reply
SteJBorchard I mean im not going to buy this or really care much. but I do have a single question. Can the new xbox innately and organically play all versions of Smash Brothers/Super Smash? That would be my only concern. Reply
