I finally switched to Kubuntu this year for my personal PC and overall it's been great. Still spend a lot of time on Windows as that's what all of my work systems are using. So I still have to be aware of the crap. But at least I have one foot out of the Microsoft cage. It's not that I haven't had issues with Linux. I was originally using Zorin which has it's nice points. But Gnome was giving me too many issues. KDE overall works more like I want. Not that it doesn't have it's own issues but they're pretty minor and I haven't felt the need to adjust anything for some time now. Reply
Vicecrow I have the license of windows 10 and 11 pro… But for not loose my mind I use the LTSC version of it. Microslop don't touch too much the LTSC version. And don't make these updates to kill your machine. Works with no key. after I get the watermark I just format again and again. the trial works for 90 days. To config the machine loose two hours, a broken update loose a week Reply
EzzyB I'm not terribly surprised. If you want something to blame, blame AI. Apparently it's pretty good a hacking (and not just Microsoft, as we've seen). In the last 3 months Microsoft has patched over 2000 vulnerabilities in Windows. That's actually friggin heroic. You also can't issue that many software fixes without breaking something . Issue 2k fixes to over a billion machines? It's amazing any of this works. Reply

Windows 12 will be worse – Microsoft has pretty much stated the future is Agentic OS. That means more slop for as far as the eye can see. Slop everywhere. Reply
