User of Computers I have my doubts on the market penetration of this thing. Strix Halo is selling well, but it's at the trailing edge of its lifespan, and Medusa is supposedly launching in the next year. I'm really not sure how this will compete against that. Reply

More seriously though, calling this a "whole new era" of PC is just obnoxious marketing drivel. Realistically, these devices will offer a similar experience to existing Ryzen Ai max machines, at most you will be getting CUDA support in exchange for dealing with ARM compatibility headaches. If N1X is simply the full DGX Spark chip transposed into a laptop package, then it should have what, at least RTX 5060 performance? Even with 16-32 GB of RAM, I think they will try to charge a lot. According to MS, 16 GB and an NPU makes it an "AI PC". Nvidia and partners may try to position it as a mobile AI workstation with 64-128 GB if they aren't confident in it being a consumer hit. Bloatware isn't the problem here, it's pricing and the ability to run Windows or Linux properly. Same problems faced by Qualcomm with Snapdragon xXx eL33T. Reply
ezst036 Nobody is enjoying the current era of PCs on Windows 11, why would anybody want more of it? Reply
Scott_Tx Unfortunately the 'New Era of PCs!' means no ram or SSDs. Reply
