Notton Okay, so are they going to go after the Russian propaganda bots, impression farming bots, etc? Because, from the sounds of it, OpenAI will only take action if they deem they are losing money off of the transaction. I also find it funny the Chinese bots mainly targeted Twitter. That place is now so full of bots, you'll maybe see like 1/1000 comments made by an actual human. It's so bad it makes Youtube comments section look good in comparison. (they're both bad and filled with bots) Reply

PEnns Hide it and the problems will go away!! Damn those cartons, they're keeping the tech Bros awake at night. Reply

Zaranthos I suspect these types of things are far more widespread and common than we think. The AI and data center backlash often doesn't look organic at all, nor does it even make sense sometimes. One way or another this stuff is going to happen and most of the time trying to stop it will be like pissing into the wind. The appetite for it comes from industry and consumer alike carried by hundreds of trillions of dollars of investments. Reply

phead128 NIMBYism (" Not In My Back Yard" ) is a classic American tradition dating back to 1980's, over 46 years ago. OpenAI is filing for IPO worth almost $1 Trillion and is financially invested in steamrolling any opposition to it's AI and data center plans – democracy be damned. If you oppose higher electricity and water depletion in your neighborhood, you are obviously a Chinese agent and must arrested for sabotage for speaking the truth against Big AI. Reply
