Trake_17 I'm sorry but this is Nvidia's problem and the fact that they haven't done anything to own it is dubious and unforgivable. I can't speak for you, but there is literally no way I'm spending an excess of $1000 on a GPU just to worry that it's going to catch fire. Come to think of it, I wouldn't spend $200… Having to worry about your computer catching fire is something no one should opt for. Nvidia should be bearing the cost of that worry — by eliminating the potential — not consumers. I just cannot reward them for pushing that into consumers by paying them obscene $$ for their products. PEnns You mean the serious problem with Nvidia's top of the line, almost $5000 card hasn't been fixed yet?? Shocking. Pun fully intended. Perhaps Nvidia is listening to the dozen or so of its fans who are saying "it's definitely user error" and disregarding the others who know better. Reply

Totally Nvidia's fault for releasing a faulty product, not just faulty but dangerous. The authoritys should have intervened as soon as this happened, most consumer products if dangerous are ordered to be withdrawn or redesigned, and the company banned from producing it and even fined- why is no-one challenging them? Ricket5 The problem is that this isn't really happening with OEM builds or professional builds. It's pretty much DIY builds. And for now close to two decades most DIY builders have not had to know what they are doing as it's way too easy. Is the card bad? Sure it's danger. But the real problem is enthusiast and gaming DIYers still being morons. Reply
