You're getting a fully enclosed printing environment with the P1S, so it's a good option for prints that require high temperatures in the right climate. The build volume is 256 x 256 x 256 mm, a large bed size for a budget-focused printer, though you can find larger ones. The bed is made from a textured PEI spring steel sheet which, in our experience, makes it easier to remove your models once the print process is complete.
You're using one of Bambu Lab's proprietary 0.4mm nozzles as standard with this printer, which is attached to a direct drive extruder. An extruder like this one gives better pressure control while you're printing, which improves accuracy and avoids filament waste. You can print pretty quickly with the Bambu Lab P1S, too, as it's able to achieve a 20,000 mm/s² acceleration limit here.
Wireless connectivity comes as standard, with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections offered. However, if you'd rather stick close to the printer, you can load models to print directly using the P1S' microSD card slot. The built-in LCD screen and control panel let you choose your desired print options and settings. You've also got a time-lapse camera that can help you watch (or rewatch) the whole print process from start to finish.
The P1S might have been replaced by its successor, the P2S, in our best 3D printer guide, but the OG is still a firm favorite, and its near-perfect review score still holds. The $399 sale price here makes it a serious option for someone looking to begin printing on a budget, especially as stock levels have fluctuated during sales events.
