Penzi Sega was never for me but I had one of their systems: Genesis. It made me pine for a Nintendo response and the SNES ably did so but two years, particularly for a teenager, is an eternity. Not sure why I started with that, but I have great respect for what they built and how they built it. They were the leading edge of the possible a number of times and without them Nintendo would probably still be selling the NES and nobody else would have entered the fray… Dear Hideki Sato: thank you! SkyBill40 Still have my gen 1 Genesis and Dreamcast. Played the hell out of the Genesis and while it was entertaining, the Dreamcast market was kinda dead on arrival. Used to have a Master System but lent it to someone during my youth and never got it back. Same thing happened to my NES. Definitely sad times at Sega right now. Rest easy, Mr. Sato. Your machines made me smile for a long time. Reply

Gururu I used to frequent the Sega center arcade at the West Covina mall in California through my childhood. I have adored everything the company does for life. Reply

daworstplaya I remember when Mortal Kombat came out on Sega and their version was uncensored with blood and gore, while the SNES version was censored without blood and gore. Reply
