bit_user No, I decided a long time ago that I wasn't interested in such a power-sucking, heat-spewing fire hazard. Not at the old prices, and certainly not now! Reply
logainofhades No thanks. I would rather not have a GPU that could burn my house down. Reply
redgarl This is not a discontinuation, this is literally a STOP SALE order by Nvidia. The reality is this card is plagued with issues which will probably end into class actions. It is easier for Nvidia to end the production and recalling the current GPUs, which they could sell for way more to enterprise, than having to deal with potential liability from the client sector. Ironically by doing this, they are admitting the 90 series was never a gaming GPU… but all of you, the media outlets, literally drank the green COOLAID… Reply

Because, all of the articles I've seen on it say the diverted production over to the RTX Pro line. redgarl said: The reality is this card is plagued with issues which will probably end into class actions. If they were ever going to do that, why wait 22 months after its introduction?? Reply

While I don't think it's a stop sale I do wonder about Micro Center pulling it from their shelves. Of course that could be as simple as a system integrator calling them up and offering to buy every 5090 they still had company wide. Reply

blppt I do have to wonder, who would be so desperate to have a 2 year old video card for $7000+? Unless we never get a 6-series, I'd seriously just wait for that. Then again, some people have tons of money to just burn…. Reply

Then again, some people have tons of money to just burn…. Its not gamers like you and me buying it. It was being bought up by all the data centers and scalpers. So NVidia pulled the plug because there wasn't a point in selling a 5090 when they can put that same die into a datacenter GPU and charge 10x the price when it was all going to datacenters anyway Reply
