Eventual restrictions could force manufacturers to redesign products, shift suppliers, or rebuild certification and sourcing pipelines at an enormous scale.

wiscovitch Wouldn't really matter if carriers would default to more secure methods that would mitigate things like who the vendor is. To be clear, Tuck Frump, but at some point there are methods that can be used that helps avoid issues like this. Reply

This is what happens when cost drive all the production to china. It comes down to can you trust china. They got caught big time before when huawei "accidentally" left test code active in the cell towers installed in the US. They send months worth of detailed call records back to china. You never know when a company is being pressured by a government to do dishonest stuff. Notton btw, this FCC decision is on the heels of the Trump phone not shipping and no refunds given for the people who put down a deposit on that monstrosity So it's basically a distraction to keep people from noticing the scam. Reply
