bigdragon Companies that ask for forgiveness after doing whatever they want make bad neighbors. They don't care what the collateral impacts are from what they're doing. All they want to do is get rich quick, and you're a Goomba standing between them and a high score. I feel bad for anyone living near that data center. Reply
kealii123 How many hours of runtime from a jet engine equals the environmental damage of just one bomb dropped on Iran? Reply
RockyTW Funny just a few miles from there, the Fedex World HQ and sort hub has since the 1970s have flown hundreds of mult- engine air freight jets in and out of MEM RVERY DAY WITH THE SAME KIND OF ENGINES BURNING NOT NATURAL GAS BUT JET A KEROSENE!! Reply

That’s some weapons-grade what-about-ism there that willfully overlooks the nature of how engines of any kind pollute when used for different purposes, the rate of pollution, and in-place vs in-motion pollution dispersal/local effects. Pull 3 or 4 of those jets pollution records and compare them over time. Cruising speed uses a whole lot less fuel than cranking an engine for local power generation. That goes for cycle engines and turbines. Reply

I feel you're trying and failing to make a point here? What I believe you are implying is that because diesel semis drive by your house you should be okay with 3 of them parked on your front lawn with their motors going full bore 24/7. That would be an absurd thing to say unless one had the reasoning skills of a toddler so maybe I'm wrong? Reply
