I'd say it's worth it, I upgraded from a 5900x to 5800x3d a few years ago and the FPS gains were impressive. This CPU is obviously in huge demand I doubt the price will fall much snatch one if you can. Reply

Maybe it depends on the GPU it is paired with? I have a 5900X/4090. The only way I would switch is if my 5900X died. I think it also heavily depends on whether you are playing on 1080P or 4K. Reply

I don't think I do tbh….not for what gains I'll get. It would be nice though. Might have to update your bios too depending on version….photographing your settings is a good idea here as everything will be reset I think. Now to put a spanner in the works….I was thinking…live with my 5600x till a future full upgrade & spend the money on a 3d headset like metaquest instead! Decisions decisions. Reply
