chaos215bar2 A high power laser set loose to shoot at targets of its own volition based on an AI mosquito classifier, which we all know will be perfectly, 100% accurate. (Not to mention, mosquitos never, ever flying in the vicinity of reflective surfaces.) What could possibly go wrong? Seriously, this thing is going to blind someone. It's an incredibly cool concept, but laser safety is no joke and this thing is violating basically every single rule there is. The infrared version is especially scary, because you won't even see if the unit is malfunctioning in a dangerous way. A class 4 laser can destroy your vision faster than you can blink, and can cause damage even from reflections off of diffuse surfaces. Reply

PEnns Now, if they have a shoulder mounted one (like the predator in the movies….😊) I would seriously consider buying one. My blood is type O Positive which is like chocolate to mosquitoes and living in south west Florida aka, Mosquito County, is hell on earth in summer! As to hurting someone: I live on a big lot and the nearest house / human a couple of 100 yards away. And besides, I'd never use it when humans (or animals) are around. Unless I feel stabby that day. " Hmm… certifications so stringent they don't even mention them on the product page. Or, anywhere else on the website that I can find. And note, this company doesn't seem to actually have a presence in most countries, which makes the customer the one responsible for importing a laser product that might possibly violate local regulations. (They're based in China: https://store.photonmatrixlab.com/policies/legal-notice ) So… good luck recovering damages when the neighbor's kid gets blinded and they sue you for everything you're worth. I am absolutely NOT saying these things are perfect and infallible. I just pointed out that it seems to have gone through some sort of certification, whatever that is. Personally speaking, I am not buying the v1.0 of this. Give it a few years. Reply

CK3D Soooo, am I the only one that thinks this device needs to have a chat with HR? 🩳–👀 Reply
