We actually put a rig together with identical specs, using the cheapest components we could find, particularly for the memory and storage. And even then, buying the parts individually clocked in over $2,000, and that's accounting for current sales. Even compared to that standard, this prebuilt is a deal.
This iBuyPower Y40 gaming PC includes an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, RX 9070 XT 16GB graphics card, 32GB of DDR5-5200 memory, and 1TB of storage.
The core specs here are excellent. On the CPU front, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D remains the best CPU for gaming, only outclassed by the overclocked Ryzen 7 9850X3D. And you can make up that difference with a moderate overclock on the base CPU.
(Image credit: Tom's Hardware) Overclocking is possible too thanks to the included 360mm all-in-one liquid cooler. On the GPU front, the RX 9070 XT is the most powerful graphics card AMD currently offers, and it's able to hang at 4K without too many problems.
(Image credit: Future) (Image credit: Future) (Image credit: Future) (Image credit: Future) (Image credit: Future) (Image credit: Future) In raster performance, the RX 9070 XT performs about as well as an RTX 4080 at 4K, and it outclasses the RTX 5070 Ti at 1440p. AMD still struggles in the ray tracing department, but the RX 9070 XT has native performance slightly below the RTX 4070 Ti at 4K. However, the GPU supports AMD's FSR 4 tech, giving you access to AI-assisted upscaling and frame generation.
Otherwise, this machine comes with 32GB of DDR5-5200 memory and a 1TB SSD (presumably a midrange PCIe Gen4 drive). The memory speed is low, but that's not a problem with X3D processors. Due to the large and speedy L3 cache, you don't see much of a performance benefit with higher RAM speeds.
This prebuilt deal is 55% claimed on Walmart at the time of writing, so make sure to secure your machine now if you're interested.
