Multiple videos and images shared to X show protestors brandishing a large banner with a Greenpeace logo. "Jensen, what about the technology that was found in Russian drones? Those were Nvidia chips. What are you doing about that?" one of the protestors called out across the auditorium. "What are you doing about that? What are you doing about the environmental destruction?" the heckler demanded.

Huang can be heard on the broadcast and in the video stating, "It's okay, go easy," as security rushed to escort the protesters out of the hall. "I'll talk to you later," Huang stated as the individuals were removed from the premises.
The complaint raised by the protester appears to relate to recent reports that Nvidia Jetson chips have been found in Russian cruise missiles used against Ukraine , as well as in AI drones. Reports indicate Russia's S-71 'Monochrome' weapon has autonomous targeting capability powered by Nvidia's consumer-grade Jetson Orin chip. "Our Jetson Orin modules are consumer-grade products sold to students, developers, and startups for a wide range of beneficial applications," Nvidia told Tom's Hardware at the time. The company reiterated that the chips are not available in Russia and are not designed for military purposes, but admitted it cannot track the resale of pre-owned Jetson chips after they are sold.
A report in August claimed that a Russian AI drone killed three civilians in Ukraine , the first documented case of civilian deaths caused by a Russian drone using fully autonomous targeting. Images of the recovered drones confirmed they contained Jetson Orin modules. "All important issues, but let me get through my keynote," Huang quipped before continuing his presentation.
