A fun one is Micro Center's motherboard + 7500X3D + 16 GB for $350 deal. If the most extreme projections come true, then consumer memory could double in price again. I switched to AM5 platform just before these RAM prices went out for lunch. I paid less than $200 for 2 x 16 GB DDR5 EXPO. Currently goes for $500 or more. That is price gauging, not market conditions. They could make RAM and sell only to consumers, but they don't because they want the big profits. It was the same story with video cards during the GPU acopalypse. I cannot go back to DDR5 because I would have to throw out my AM5 platform, and I am not going to purchase a bundle for the RAM. It has become clear to me over the years that companies are collectively pushing prices up, and consumer watchdogs are sitting on the sidelines and letting them do it. Reply
