Unless the petitioners are lying about the lack of controls this is a foolish read. They should have had to agree to some sort of baseline which could be reassessed down the road. Any company needs to be the one forced to play wait and see not the communities that could be impacted by what said company does. Reply

BTW, the half-life of PFAS compounds ("forever chemicals" in the human body is 2-8 years, and in the concentrations under discussion — or even those many hundreds of times higher — they're entirely safe. LOL Your average cup of coffee has some 600 chemicals in it, the vast majority of which have never been researched for carcinogenic or teratogenic characteristics. But based on the simple fact that roughly 50% of all chemicals found in nature are one or both, at least 300 of those chemicals you drink every day cause cancer … in a large enough dose.
