Zaranthos The combined ecosystem Elon is building is unlike anything humanity has ever seen before. Taken as a whole the symbiotic relationship of the entirety of his companies continues to strengthen his larger plans right along with nearly everything else he is doing. There is a great deal of risk involved but the potential rewards are far beyond what most people can comprehend. At this point anyone who doesn't recognize this isn't really paying attention. Reply
bit_user Elon stumbled into a niche to lease excess capacity to other AI companies. Now, he's basically in the compute services business, which it should be noted is ultimately a lot less lucrative than the pot of gold everybody else is chasing. Also, not without risks of its own. Reply

Can you explain how this will benefit the average person, with proven examples rather than hypothetical situations that rely on the altruism of millionaires? It's all very well and good saying "This is groundbreaking ecosystem construction", but if the only thing it does is make SpaceX more money, then why should the average person care when it's going to contribute more to the current hardware issues in the consumer market? alan.campbell99 What 'potential rewards?' What are these current LLMs offering right now to justify a combined 1 TRILLION of capex across the big 4 hyperscalers? No waffle about 'the future will be great, trust us bro'. We are 4 years into this desperate play from companies that have run out of hypergrowth ideas, what precisely are everyday people getting out of this huge deployment of capital, correspondingly huge debt issuance and excessive collective resource demands ? Take your $150 or so and buy a share of spacex. You can now make money like every other "average" person. A large chuck of these AI companies have large investments from teacher pension funds and many other peoples IRA and 401k. Many people with fairly normal jobs that invested a percentage of their income into stock based retirement accounts over many years now have balances over a million dollars. It is the people who buy new cars and RV's and save nothing who complain the loudest about the so called rich. Reply
