We re-reviewed this chip for the launch , and while it is functionally similar to the original 5800X3D, AMD did have to make changes to the innovative 3D V-Cache to bring this processor back into production. This is the fastest gaming you can get on an AMD AM4 platform, so it's a no-brainer upgrade for enthusiasts on older platforms. — Paul Alcorn

Apple dropped a nuclear bomb on the tech community yesterday, raising prices across most of its product portfolio by an average of $200. Not even the budget-minded MacBook Neo was spared, which seemed like a breath of fresh air in the Mac lineup with a starting price of $599. However, yesterday’s price hike raised the entry price to $699. Thankfully, if you still want to grab it at the prior price, Best Buy is selling the base MacBook Neo in various colors for $599.99 .

Apple MacBook Neo: was $599 now $599 at Best Buy Apple's MacBook Neo is its new budget laptop packing an A18 Pro SoC, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD.

That price gets you a 13-inch Liquid Retina display, 8GB of unified memory, and a 256GB SSD. Powering the system is the Apple A18 Pro SoC that previously saw duty in the iPhone 16 Pro.

We reviewed the MacBook Neo earlier this year and praised the Apple-typical solid chassis build quality, display, and value proposition. The last bullet point is seriously under fire given Apple’s recent pricing decision. This price will not last long, as Amazon has already exhausted its supply of MacBook Neos at the original price point. — Brandon Hill

I seem to get through MMO mice like there’s no tomorrow, mainly from excessive use, but sometimes it’s due to the odd mouse defect, drink spillage, or accidental desk-dive. I play a lot of MMO games, with enough hours, days, years, and decades devoted to world exploring, competitive raiding, and dungeoneering. Multi-button mice are a game-changer when it comes to playing MMOs, with games like World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV having a multitude of spells and abilities that can be bound or macroed to buttons on your mouse to make playing the game much more responsive.

This brings me to this fantastic deal on Redragon’s Impact M908 MMO mouse. For a snip under $20 ($19.66) , you’re getting a wired MMO mouse with 18 fully programmable buttons, and a 12,400DPI sensor – plenty for MMO play. Grab this exceptional deal before Prime Day ends.

Save 19% ($4.63) Redragon M908 Impact: was $24.29 now $19.66 at Amazon A wired MMO mouse that features the now traditional 12-button side panel, with 18 programmable buttons overall. You can adjust DPI on the fly and add extra weights to the mouse to fit your preferences. A 12,400 DPI sensor provides tracking, and there's also added RGB flair.

Usually, the first thing to break or malfunction is the buttons or the scroll wheel, which get a lot of clicks from constant movement or spellcasting. Some brands charge well over $100 for MMO mice, and yes, some may last for years, but not always. I’ve got a few guild mates who have bought multiple Redragon M908 mice when they are on sale like this, as the value is just too good to pass up, and they always have a spare MMO mouse on hand if one should break.

The M908 Impact from Redragon has been around for a while. It doesn’t have a super-high DPI sensor, but it’s wired, there are no issues with wireless dropout or latency; you can add weights for more heft, and if the worst should happen and the mouse develops a fault, you’ve only spent $19.66. — Stewart Bendle

A $400 PCIe 4.0 SSD with 4TB of storage is a downright deal in the current climate. It’s the lowest price we’ve seen on the SSD on all year, and considering the going price for 4TB SSDs is north of $500 now, we didn’t expect to see a drive drop to $400. Newegg has the drive discounted by $70, and you can save an additional $50 with code FTTF462 at checkout.

We’ve all heard the horror stories of cracked PCBs and torn PCIe sockets from a GPU that’s just too heavy to be supported on one end. GPU support brackets popped up prominently around the RTX 40-series release, and today, you can find them for dirt cheap prices. This particular one we’ve found is on sale for just $7.64 on Prime Day.

Save 15% Oddtone Vertical Mount GPU Sag Holder,: was $8.99 now $7.64 at Amazon This GPU sag support bracket features a magnet on bottom to keep the bracket secured in your PC, and a retractable head with a non-slip pad to protect your GPU.

There are three sizes available, but they’re all the same price (we’ve linked the medium size, but check your particular build for the correct sizing). The bottom end includes a non-slip mat and a magnet, keeping the support in place. On the other, retractable end, you get just a non-slip pad.

GPU sag isn’t a problem until it is. Especially if you’re using a higher-end GPU on a cheaper motherboard, and you see your GPU sagging, spend the $7 and get yourself the support bracket. It could save you a lot of hassle down the line. — Jake Roach

The case is well-dampened and it's really one of those keyboards that will turn you into a keyboard enthusiast. The only real downside for me was the wireless switch, which is located under the Caps Lock key — so you need to remove that key in order to turn this keyboard on and off. But that's a minor inconvenience given the quality of this keyboard (plus, it's pretty heavy — it's not like you're going to be toting it around, so you can probably just leave it turned on). If you like to be active outdoors and like to listen to music or podcasts while you walk, run, bike, or whatever, and you wear any kind of earbuds or closed headphones during, you've probably been surprised when a car blows past without warning or a bicyclist tries to ring their bell at you while passing.

Most of the time, that kind of encounter doesn't end in tragedy, but why take the risk? Shokz's OpenRun Pro 2 bone-conduction headphones let you hear your music or podcasts and environmental sounds all at once for safer outdoor activity in a package that doesn't weigh you down, and they're on sale for a low price of $124.95 right now at Amazon (or as little as $119.95 for some colors).

SHOKZ Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 Bone Conduction Headphones: was $199.95 now $119.95 at Amazon Shokz's OpenRun Pro 2 headphones are a light, totally open wireless pair that let you maintain situational awareness when you're out running, biking, or hiking.

We're a running household, and my spouse and I use our Shokz extensively for both training and races. You may hear "bone conduction" and expect compromised audio quality, but the Shokz produce surprisingly clear and full-range audio thanks to a dual-driver design. The bone conduction driver handles the highs, while a dedicated low-end driver acts more like a traditional headphone and fires back toward your ear. The combo just sounds like a good open pair of headphones, and it makes for a headset that's much smaller and lighter than a pair of traditional open over-the-ear cans.

Don't risk an accident due to environmental isolation from traditional earbuds if you're a runner, cyclist, hiker, or otherwise active outdoorsperson. Add a pair of these compact open headphones to your arsenal and maintain your situational awareness. — Jeff Kampman
